Google Tools for Struggling Students, with Eric Curts

In a preview of his FETC presentation, Eric will lead a discussion on the many Google tools, apps, extensions, and features available to assist struggling learners or students with special needs. These can include text-to-speech, speech-to-text, readability, reading comprehension, organization, focus, and more. Learn what tools are available and how to access and use these with students. Some of the topics:

    • What are good text-to-speech tools that can help students with comprehension and self-editing?
    • What are good speech-to-text tools that can help students express themselves and their ideas?
    • What are good readability tools that can help students focus and understand online information?

Eric Curts has been in education for 27 years, and currently serves as a Technology Integration Specialist for SPARCC in Canton, Ohio where he oversees Google Apps for Education implementation, training, and support, as well as other technology integration initiatives. Eric is an authorized Google Education Trainer and Innovator, and provides Google Apps training to schools, organizations, and conferences throughout Ohio and across the country.
